Project Procurement Lead – Capital Projects (Pharma/Biotech)

Are you a strategic procurement professional ready to lead high-value capital projects in a fast-paced, high-impact environment?


We are seeking a Project Procurement Lead to manage procurement activities across large-scale investment projects within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. You’ll be the driving force behind sourcing and contract management for the construction of manufacturing, lab, and office facilities..


What You’ll Do

  • Own and execute the Procurement Execution Strategy for assigned CapEx projects
  • Lead procurement of complex goods and services, including equipment, utilities, construction, engineering, and cleanroom installations
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle: sourcing, expediting, contract negotiations, and closeout
  • Coordinate across a broad stakeholder group: internal engineering, project management, finance, legal, and global procurement teams
  • Collaborate with key external partners (EPCs, contractors, equipment suppliers) to ensure project timelines and budgets are met
  • Maintain and actively manage the Procurement Master Plan (PMP) to track progress, risks, and reporting


What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in capital project procurement, ideally in the pharma/biotech or industrial sector
  • Proven success in plant/facility construction procurement, including contract and stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across matrix organizations
  • Strong commercial mindset with strategic, analytical thinking
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving project environments
  • Fluent English (German is a plus)
  • Technical background (engineering, construction, chemical or mechanical) highly desirable
