Stainless Steel Vessels Limited design, install and commission Brewhouses, process vessels, and pipework to the beverage industry. With over 3000 tanks and 80 Brewhouses installed since our inception, we provide unrivalled value and customer service to meet the needs of all drinks manufacturing-related businesses. We are uniquely positioned to be able to provide equipment from 10HL all the way up to 20,000HL to sectors from brewing, biotech, pharmaceutical, dairy and distilling.

About the Project Manager role

We are looking for a Project Manager who has experience managing projects in Food & Beverage industries, including experience in managing the installation of hygienic pipework. The Project Manager will direct, control and complete projects; maintaining high quality, safety, and reliability standards and ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. We already have a welcoming, experienced and supportive Projects team to work within.

The role is best suited to an individual who has a desire to deliver projects in Europe and is comfortable with travelling to client sites across the UK and Europe. This person will need strong leadership and influencing skills to bring a wide range of internal and external stakeholders along the journey through the project lifecycle. The ability to clearly communicate at all levels will be essential for successful project outcomes, as is being easily able to switch communication style to match a range of audiences.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing the entire delivery lifecycle of assigned projects whilst aligning with industry best practices to ensure clients expectations are met

  • Ensuring projects are delivered from initial conception through to installation, commissioning and final handover.

  • Executing project management strategies, assisting with programme generation and delivering progress reports.

  • Liaising with the client, project team members and senior management to meet both customer and company expectations.

  • Preparing engineering specifications and technical documentation, including scope of work (incorporating measurable performance requirements).

  • Using exceptional client relationship management skills, maintaining open and constructive communication channels to ensure client satisfaction and trust are upheld throughout the project's lifecycle.

    Skills & Experience Required

  • Role-related experience and trained through a time-served apprenticeship, HND or Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience managing projects in Food & Beverage production, specifically including with the installation of hygienic pipework.

  • Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (Draftsight, AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.).

  • Ability to prepare comprehensive engineering specifications and technical documentation whilst extracting necessary information from specifications and technical documentation.

  • Commercial acumen, planning and budgeting experience

  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., Agile, PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable; solid working knowledge is acceptable.

  • Full UK Driving Licence with the ability to travel across the UK and Europe.
