SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum doe


Overview


We are looking for a Project Engineer with experience in highly regulated industries to lead and support the delivery of technical projects from concept through to completion. This role combines engineering design, process development, compliance oversight, and technical documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to balance regulatory requirements with practical engineering solutions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage engineering projects across their full lifecycle, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
  • Lead design activities, including concept development, prototyping, and implementation, in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation such as specifications, test plans, validation protocols, and process flows.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and internal quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, quality, operations, regulatory) to align project requirements and objectives.
  • Contribute to process development and improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and regulatory readiness.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions with accurate documentation and engineering input.
  • Track project progress, manage risks, and provide clear communication to stakeholders.


Qualifications


  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related discipline).
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar engineering role within a highly regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, energy).
  • Strong understanding of compliance, process development, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
