About the role

As a Project Engineer you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Project Manager(s) to direct and manage all aspects of individual multi-discipline EPC projects from inception through to completion within the Pharmaceutical industry working within a project portfolio environment.

Key Objectives

  • To have knowledge of the principles of the Company Quality Policy and Business Operating Procedures in order to execute/complete projects, deliver Customer satisfaction and achieve or improve profit target

  • To gain understanding of Project Management issues and effective use of all PM tools and techniques

  • To deliver customer satisfaction in this client facing role

  • To assist and support Project Managers through the project roadmap process against Millstone deliverables

  • To organise and communicate

  • To evaluate technical and contractual information

  • To understand project risk and risk management

  • To evaluate, develop and improve existing practices to improve project performance and increase benefit

    Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager(s) to direct and manage all aspects of individual multi-discipline EPC project from inception through completion

  • From Handover, define base line scope, programmes and allowances together with the procedures for management of requests for change to allowance/budgets in advance of Project Execution Plan issue

  • Manage the preparation and regular update of the Project Schedule(P6) against which all project deliverables are monitored and controlled

  • Initiate and review engineering design, procurement, manufacturing, shipping, sub-contract, project operations and site activity to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedule requirements and Company legal obligations

  • Review Project Financial status and manage change control, taking action to mitigate liability for overrun, variations or third party claims

  • Report progress in compliance with the Project Execution Plan mandate

    Qualifications and Experience

    Preferred

    HNC/HND in related engineering discipline.

  • This is very much a client interfacing role and forms part of the projects delivery management team aligned with the client so you will possess excellent customer satisfaction skills

  • You will have significant and appropriate experience in an electrical, instrument and mechanical engineering pharmaceutical EPC environment with a project portfolio environment

  • You are experienced working in a role as Project Engineer or supporting project role in executing multi-disciplined EPC projects from inception through completion

  • You will have record of site management and experience in multi-disciplined site construction, plant installation, testing and commissioning of project work
