The Role
This position supports bid and sales teams by providing cost information for new business proposals, aiding project delivery, and procurement of subcontracts and equipment.

Key Activities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead supplier selection and contract awards.

Assist the Bid Team with cost data for proposals.

Support operational teams during project execution.

Conduct tender analysis and define evaluation criteria.

Lead negotiations and define strategies.

Create and manage procurement plans for major projects.

Review subcontracts with legal support.

Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring performance in terms of time, quality, and costs.

Ensure compliance with Bilfinger SE standards across departments.

Track contract commitments and manage change orders.

Monitor KPIs and evaluate capital and revenue options for decision-making.

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience in a senior purchasing role, preferably in a project environment.

Knowledge of procurement systems and contract forms such as NEC3, MF1, ICHEME.

Understanding of plant and equipment management and purchasing.

Experience with change management and continuous improvement.

Ability to work under pressure within a project team.

Membership of a professional body (essential).

Postgraduate or professional purchasing/management qualification (preferred).
