Production/ Operations Manager Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Production/ Operations Manager to lead their pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality production. This senior leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, driving continuous improvement, and managing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong GMP knowledge, proven leadership in regulated manufacturing, and a focus on process optimisation and regulatory compliance.
Production/ Operations Manager Job Responsibilities:
·Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
·Lead, support, and develop a skilled team while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
·Implement process enhancements, resolve technical challenges, and maintain full compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
·Work cross-functionally with key departments to coordinate seamless operations, manage new product launches, and uphold safety and quality standards.
·Champion Lean initiatives, lead root cause investigations and change control processes, and deliver data-driven performance insights to senior leadership.
·Support the achievement of wider business objectives by aligning plant performance with strategic goals focused on growth, compliance, and operational excellence.
Production/ Operations Manager Required Attributes:
·Relevant degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manufacturing, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
·Experience in regulated manufacturing environments, particularly within pharmaceuticals or chemicals.
·Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
·Proven track record in managing cross-functional projects, including new product introductions and process validations.
·Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing technologies, automation, and digital transformation in the pharmaceutical industry.
·2+ years of senior technical or operations management experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing industry.
·Oral liquid manufacturing experience desirable
