Laser/ Brake Press Operator – Setter

The Role

Support production operations by accurately setting and operating the Trumpf Laser and Brake Press machines, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency throughout the fabrication process.

Main Responsibilities

Set up and operate the Trumpf Laser machine, ensuring all production runs meet quality standards, in collaboration with the Laser Programmer and Operations Manager.
Set up and operate the Brake Press, as required, working closely with the Operations Manager and Fabrication Team Leader to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
Assist in general fabrication tasks including sawing, manual handling, and use of hand tools.
Interpret and organise workloads based on daily work schedules.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all Health & Safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
Manage materials and inventory:

Locate, verify, and transport items for production.
Load/unload materials using trucks or carts.
Return unused items to storage inventory.

Prepare and support production processes:

Inspect, measure, weigh, cut, and load materials.
Trim and adjust components as needed.

Accurately record production data, including output stats and material usage.
Demonstrate a commitment to company objectives by taking ownership of tasks and contributing to process improvements.

Laser/Brake Press Operator-Setter

The Candidate

Proven experience in Laser and Brake Press operation
Strong manual handling and equipment maintenance skills
Basic math proficiency for measurement and planning
Familiarity with power tools and general manufacturing processes
Self-motivated, responsible, and proactive
Strong teamwork and communication abilities
Able to problem-solve under pressure and manage own schedule
Personal qualities: Pride, Enthusiasm, Honesty, Loyalty
