My client is a Norfolk based pharmaceutical manufacturer specialising in over-the-counter (OTC) products. Operating under stringent Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, they offer a range of services including formulation, filling, packaging, and labelling.


Position: Production Engineer

Location: Norfolk

Shift Pattern: Two-shift rotation

Week 1:

• Monday – Thursday: 6am to 2pm

• Friday: 6am to 1pm

Week 2:

• Monday – Thursday: 1.45pm to 10pm

• Friday: 12.45pm to 6.45pm


Role Overview:

Join our Engineering team in a clean manufacturing environment committed to the highest quality standards. This hands-on role involves ensuring adherence to production plans through effective maintenance and support.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all equipment as per the maintenance schedule.

• Address and resolve breakdowns and production line issues promptly.

• Provide continuous improvement ideas and solutions for production processes.

• Collaborate with the team to enhance maintenance processes and procedures.

• Assist with filling and packaging equipment set-up/changeovers when necessary.

• Complete all auditable paperwork accurately.

• Ensure adherence to weekly production plans.


Key Attributes/Skills:

• Ability to work safely and in a controlled manner.

• Experience in an FMCG or pharmaceutical environment with packaging and manufacturing equipment.

• Ability to follow instructions with accuracy.

• Experience with mechanical engineering, filling, and packaging equipment.

• Competent computer user with experience in Microsoft software packages.

• Determination to provide a high degree of 'customer service' to the production teams.

• Self-motivated with a proactive 'can do' attitude.

• Team-focused and a good communicator.

• NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical discipline.

• Electrical/Mechanical Engineering experience.
