Position: Principal Scientist, Process Chemistry
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Coventry, Rhode Island (ON-SITE)
Salary: $170,000-$190,000

Job Overview:
The Principal Scientist is a Subject matter Expert within Process Chemistry and provides scientific skill and leadership to solve high complexity chemical development issues for assigned projects and / or initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute complex experiments, analyze results, and plan further studies
Stay updated on new technologies to contribute to scientific advancements internally and externally.
Document and report findings per department and regulatory standards (GLP, GMP, ICH, etc.).
Align cross-functional efforts to meet client and business objectives.
Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with peers to drive scientific strategy.
Complete all required technical, procedural, and policy-based training.
Work within established workflows, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain a well-organized lab environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Work efficiently and meet project timelines while upholding high-quality standards.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Maintain training records and report any safety concerns to management.
Ensure confidentiality of sensitive company and client information.
What We're Looking For:
PhD in Chemistry or related field.
Customer serviced focused
10-year industrial experience within relevant role
Evidence of experience in successful application of analytical / physical skill sets to resolve high complexity chemical problems
Evidence of ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary scientific teams
Competency in the routine use of core instrumentation and laboratory techniques and higher end instrumentation and laboratory techniques.
Effective written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively present scientific findings to colleagues
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage projects effectively
Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
