Department of Oncology, Old Road Campus Research Building, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7DQAbout the roleYou will work closely with a dynamic team led by Professor Nicholas La Thangue, a leader in cancer biology research. The role will involve experimental design, execution, and analysis of data using a broad range of cutting-edge techniques, including proteomics, flow cytometry, and fluorescence microscopy. The ability to generate reliable, reproducible scientific results with attention to detail will be crucial.About YouYou will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil (or be close to completion) in cancer biology or a related field, with significant experience in biological, biochemical, and molecular biology research. Ideally, you will have a strong background in gene expression and protein biochemistry, as well as experience in RNA biology. You should be proficient in techniques for studying protein function, including mass spectrometry and proteomics, and have a solid understanding of cell biology methods such as flow cytometry. Experience in bioinformatics and genomic technologies, including the analysis of large-scale genomic datasets, will be highly beneficial. With a keen attention to detail, you will be able to design and execute experiments with precision, ensuring the collection of accurate and reproducible data. Your ability to maintain well-organised experimental records will be essential, and you will be computer literate with experience in using databases and bioinformatics tools for data analysis.
