Pipe Fitter TIG Welder - Process Pipework

40 Hours Monday - Friday 8.00am - 16.30pm

Our client is a leading engineering service provider in specialist hygienic mechanical and electrical systems. Working almost exclusively in the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. Operating out of offices across the UK their multi-disciplinary teams provide turnkey solutions from pre-project feasibility studies and initial conceptual design, through to manufacture, installation and commissioning, inclusive of all aspects of Project & H&S Management, Process & Service Pipework Fabrication, Equipment Relocation, Electrical C&I, Panel building & software, Civil Engineering and Construction.This is an excellent opportunity for a Pipe fitter TIG Welder - Process Pipework, to join the company's Birmingham office, supporting a variety of projects across the West Midlands.

Duties

As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter welder - TIG, you will be working between a clean, ventilated and very well-equipped workshop in Stirchley and sites across Birmingham. Typical duties will include fabricating and butt-welding schedule 20 and schedule 40 mild steel and stainless steel pipework up to 8" diameter, along with 1" to 4" OD thin wall stainless steel and some jacketed pipework spools. Other duties will include fitting the fabricated pipework and manufacturing brackets and the associated pipe supports, along with assisting other pipe fitter welders as necessary.

About you

Based ideally in the West Midlands you will need to live within a commutable distance of B30 1JR.
Demonstrable experience of pipe-fitting and stainless steel TIG butt welding within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment is essential for this role.
You'll also need to have good all round welding experience with current or previous coding's to back this up.
