HBG Recrutiment are ooking for a skilled and detail-oriented Pipe Fitter to join on of our clients who are established in the food processing sector.
Key Responsibilities: Pipe Fitter


  • Install and assemble stainless steel pipe systems (including hygienic-grade tubing) according to technical drawings and specifications.

  • Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using appropriate tools and techniques, including TIG welding.

  • Ensure all pipework is compliant with food safety regulations and designed for cleanability (CIP/SIP systems).

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on process piping and associated valves, pumps, and fittings.

  • Collaborate with engineers, maintenance, and production teams during new installations, upgrades, or plant expansions.

  • Carry out pressure testing and inspection of piping systems to ensure leak-free and sanitary operation.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

  • Follow site-specific safety and hygiene protocols at all times.

Requirements: Pipe Fitter


  • Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry (or other hygienic environments).

  • Strong ability to interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and layout plans.

  • Skilled in TIG welding, especially with stainless steel and thin-wall tubing.

  • Familiar with hygienic fittings (e.g., tri-clamp, dairy fittings) and clean piping practices.

  • Good understanding of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in pipe fitting, welding, or mechanical engineering
