Are you a qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the GPhC? Do you have a strong commitment to patient care and experience working in a multidisciplinary team? If so, NHS Fife has an exciting opportunity for you to join our expanding Primary Care Pharmacy Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician In Primary Care, You Will

Work either in GP practices or a pharmacy base

Conduct medicines reconciliation and review discharge/outpatient letters

Manage acute, repeat, and serial prescription requests

Respond to medication-related queries

Perform medication reviews via telephone, in practices

Support prescribing audits and cost-efficiency projects

You will be part of a well-established team delivering Pharmacotherapy services across Fife, working closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, and GP Practice clinicians.

About The Directorate

The NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate are committed to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to a population of approximately 380,000. Our integrated team of over 300 pharmacy staff works collaboratively to support safe and effective use of medicines.

Requirements

GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician

Diploma in Pharmacy Services

Pharmacy Technician Accuracy Qualification

PDA in assessment and supply of patient medicines

Experience Working In Primary Care Is Desirable

Strong interpersonal and IT skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness and ability to travel across NHS Fife sites
