My client is a well-established independent community pharmacy in Northeast England.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Accuracy Checking Technician (Band 5) for their community pharmacy in Stakeford, NE62 5UR.

The pharmacy team is progressive and patient-focused, with an excellent community reputation. The successful candidate will need excellent communication and organizational skills.

The duties of the Pharmacy Technician include assisting senior staff in daily store operations, processing repeat medication requests—including converting acute requests to repeats, adjusting medication quantities, syncing patient medications, managing electronic repeat dispensing (e-RD), arranging compliance aids, and ensuring the safe and cost-effective use of medicines and services.

Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, you will work independently and prioritize your workload. You must have excellent communication and organizational skills to meet targets and liaise effectively with patients, primary care staff, and other agencies.

You will also assist the Pharmacist with data analysis of prescribing behaviors in line with NICE guidance and local clinical commissioning directives.

Contract Details:

  • Type: Fixed Term
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Working Days/Hours: 4.5 to 5 hours per day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Location: Newline Pharmacy, Stakeford
  • Pay Scale: BAND 5

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Qualified as an ACT
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a community pharmacy

Additional skills include excellent communication and organizational abilities, strong problem-solving skills, and flexibility to meet the pharmacy's needs.
