You must pass an enhanced safeguarding check.

You must have at least 6 months continuous employment within the Pharmacy industry (hospital & community)

You will have a NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services/Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed by a GPhC accredited route ( GPhC approved courses and recognised qualifications | General Pharmaceutical Council )

Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, offering a wide variety of shift patterns. If you're looking for flexible working to fit around your lifestyle, then look no further! We'll work with you on your shifts, but weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern.
As a Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Dispensing Assistant (ACDA), you will play a crucial role in our in-store pharmacies, which are hugely popular with our customers. They will expect the same warmth and friendliness they get everywhere else in the store, as well as confidence and ease when discussing personal health issues.
You will be responsible for, checking the accuracy of dispensed medicines, verifying patient details, medication type, dosage, labelling, and packaging.
Reporting any medication errors or incidents promptly and correctly.
Final accuracy check of listed items that have been clinically checked by a Pharmacist
Conducting regular audits of the dispensary and stock levels. Supervising pharmacy assistants to ensure they follow appropriate procedures for dispensing medications.
Maintaining proper documentation and records of all tasks undertaken. Guiding and training pharmacy staff, sharing knowledge and expertise.
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and practices.
Supporting the Pharmacist with the delivery and effective record-keeping of patient services (e.g., blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
Driving awareness of all the extra services we offer in Pharmacy (e.g., Blood Pressure, New Medicine Service, Asda Online Doctor).
You will also develop an understanding of our Standard Operating Procedures and work to them as our customers will expect nothing less.
About You
You'll be naturally friendly, highly organised, and eager to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results. You have excellent attention to detail and good computer skills, strong communication skills and the ability to interact well with customers.
Problem-solving skills and a passion for helping people, the ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy in a busy pharmacy environment and a strong understanding of regulatory standards and the importance of compliance.
You care about giving customers a great healthcare experience, helping them find what they need, and having a chat along the way.
