Our global pharmaceutical client based in Milton Keynes is looking for a Production Technician to join their filling and packing team. The role is a full-time temporary contract initially signed off for 12 months with a possible expansion and offers an hourly rate of £14.00 - £16.50 per hour, depending on experience. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday).

The successful candidate will work with the team to ensure accurate and timely packing of products for dispatch to customers, attention to detail is critical. All work must be performed in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

It is essential that all batch paperwork for the filled product, packing and dispatch is completed accurately and at the time the activity was carried out.

Main Duties:

  • Printing, picking and preparing production packaging.

  • Packing product in accordance with the schedule.

  • Set up and use of filling and labelling machines, with defined routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Accurate record keeping and documentation.

  • Support in GMP production environments with inspection and preparation of vaccine products.

  • General housekeeping and cleaning of the production areas

  • Input into department schedule

    Experiences, Knowledge and Skills:

    Essential:

  • Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills

  • A safety-conscious mindset: demonstrating awareness and understanding of Health and Safety practices; a willingness to learn and apply safe working practices; to raise safety concerns and support the department in continuous improvement activities.

  • Ability to communicate with others and to work to deadlines

  • Good record-keeping

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel

  • Be able to carry out physically demanding work including repetitive lifting of items up to 5kg and occasional lifting of items up to 30kg

    Desirable:

  • Experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment, production, packing or warehouse.

  • Full UK driving licence

    Qualifications:

  • GCSE or equivalent
