Position Title: Regional Operations Manager – Southern England

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Primarily Remote with Weekly Travel

Salary Range: £80,000 – £90,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple MEP projects across Southern England. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide operational leadership and strategic oversight while working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

This role is home-based, with travel required to project sites across the region and one day per week at the company’s headquarters in the West Midlands for strategic meetings and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end management of multiple concurrent MEP projects across Southern England.

  • Participate in tender handovers and project initiation to ensure a seamless transition into the construction phase.

  • Support and direct Project Managers and site teams, ensuring alignment across health & safety, scheduling, financial performance, and quality benchmarks.

  • Oversee and validate commissioning strategies to ensure they integrate with the overall project timeline.

  • Cultivate a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results.

  • Monitor KPIs, risk management processes, and financial outcomes, ensuring cohesive effort across operational and commercial functions.

  • Deliver regular progress updates and strategic input during head office visits and site inspections.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to foster trust and ensure repeat business.

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven background in managing large-scale MEP projects, ideally with a mechanical or electrical discipline.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic construction environment.

  • Expertise in project control, budget management, and commissioning practices.

  • Inspirational leadership style with a focus on team development and performance.

  • Strong interpersonal and commercial acumen, able to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

  • Willingness to travel regularly for site and office meetings.
