The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to manage New Product Development (NPI) projects from concept to delivery. As an NPI Project Manager, you will take full accountability for managing complex projects, including in-house designed products and externally sourced components. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, oversee the project lifecycle, and ensure successful delivery within time, scope, and budget. This is a great opportunity for an experienced project manager with a passion for product development in hazardous environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage project governance, controls, and documentation

  • Lead the creation of business cases, including financial ROI calculations and cost management

  • Ensure project delivery on time, on specification, and within budget

  • Oversee project timeline, risk management, and change control

  • Facilitate weekly project meetings and manage project reports

  • Work with cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, sales, quality, and marketing

  • Support prototype builds, testing, and certification for product development

  • Develop and implement quality systems and operating procedures for product launches

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of NPI processes and create training materials for internal teams

    Required Experience

  • Proven expertise in project management, especially in product development and NPI processes

  • Proven experience in managing New Product Development (NPI) projects from concept to delivery

  • Demonstrable experience leading projects with mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software components

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and financial metrics such as ROI, NPV, and IRR

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving product development from concept through to launch

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to create compelling business cases for product development projects

  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • ISO 9001 or other relevant quality systems experience

  • Willingness to travel (10-20%) to meet project needs

    Preferred Experience

  • Experience in developing products for hazardous environments (ATEX, IECEx)

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the pharmaceutical industry
