New Business Development Director - Global Events Agency

Surrey / Hybrid

Circa £75,000 + commission


Superb opportunity for a new business Director to join a truly global agency who deliver cutting edge experiences, events and exhibitions for high profile clients!


The agency


This full service events and comms agency work with well known global brands, predominantly in the healthcare and pharma sector, to deliver a range of events and experiences. From large scale congresses for 1000's to stand alone meetings for 500 delegates, with logistically complex elements they work worldwide in some fantastic destinations. With a global reach they are going from strength to strength and are now hiring for a New Business Development Director to support their ongoing growth strategy.


The role


A highly autonomous yet collaborative role you will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities to drive revenue as well as the agency's global brand presence. A full 360 sales role you will unearth leads, prospect and qualify opportunities and present credentials to clients, respond to RFPs, lead the pitch process and ultimately secure the contracts. The role will work with internal and external stakeholders and pull together winning pitch responses, some travel to events to engage new contacts will be involved.


About you


A proven background in new business development within the events, exhibitions and production industry will be key. Client industry knowledge within the pharmaceutical events or Life Sciences events / comms sector would be a huge advantage but not essential. Experience of owning the sales cycle from start to finish, networking across industry events and securing new business for an agency will be key to demonstrate.
