Director, Business Development - EU Market Access

We are seeking a seasoned subject matter expert with strategic vision and commercial insight to lead the development and expansion of client relationships through innovative, insight-driven market access and HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in current and emerging trends in market access and HEOR, as well as a strong understanding of industry challenges. This leadership role is instrumental in delivering high-impact solutions that address clients' most pressing needs while driving business growth and long-term partnership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with clients to develop tailored, value-driven solutions and proposals in collaboration with the Senior Vice President, Senior Director of EU Access Strategy, and Business Development team.
  • Provide strategic input into proposals and marketing initiatives, offering expertise in research methodologies and content development.
  • Independently identify and pursue new business opportunities while cultivating and strengthening existing client relationships.
  • Design and oversee primary research projects, including fieldwork with EU payers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project goals.
  • Contribute to thought leadership efforts through written content (articles, white papers), presentations, webinars, posters, and other public forums.
  • Support the successful execution of EU market access projects from both a strategic and business development perspective, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for follow-on work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in market access, HEOR, or a related role within the pharmaceutical industry or a consultancy.
  • Proven track record of commercial success, with the ability to leverage existing networks to identify and develop new client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of drug, medical device, and diagnostic pricing and reimbursement across global markets.
  • Demonstrated experience in consultative selling and organically expanding client relationships across various service areas (e.g., literature reviews, health economic modeling).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to lead teams and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of client work.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear, concise, and insightful client and internal communications.
  • Proficiency with key software tools used in communication, analysis, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including both qualitative and quantitative capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
