We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant Neurologist on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Neurology department.

Our client is one of the largest and busiest Trusts in the UK with a budget of over £1 Billion and employing over 16,000 staff and thus advancing clinical excellence and driving forward clinical research. This trust's Neurology department are seeking someone enthusiastic, creative and dynamic neurologist with a commitment to service innovation, development and improvement in Neurosciences who'll be contributing to the existing Neurology service.

The appointee will join a team of 12 consultant neurologists, three Neurology SpRs and two CMT2 grade doctors. This department is truly dynamic as each consultant has individual interests and expertise which cover a very wide range of neurological subspecialties, including epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, headache, MND, movement disorders, acute neurology and neuro-inflammatory disorders.

The successful appointee will be expected to fulfil duties such as: participation in a 1 in 10 on call rota, providing a clinical service which will include the responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, participation in clinical governance and audit process for the trust, contribute to the service and directorate, playing a significant and increasing role in the management of acutely ill neurological patients & support and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

The successful appointee will be moving to one of the best locations in the UK, in a picturesque countryside offering a relaxing lifestyle near a rugged coastline with beautiful beaches and misty mountains .The appeal of moving to an area like this is low living costs, quality schools with a high quality of life and reasonable property prices.
