Multi-Skilled Engineer – Elec Bias

Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Rotation shift pattern (12-hour shifts) AND Banked hours system

Up to £55,000 DOE

The Role

  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times within our food processing facilities.
  • Maximise equipment availability by responding safely and effectively to breakdowns.
  • Support the manufacturing process to ensure continuous production.
  • Ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
  • Carry out planned, routine, and reactive maintenance and repair work on all equipment.
  • Maintain and continuously update technical skills and knowledge.
  • Possess a strong multi-skilled background with an electrical bias, with the ability to identify root causes of machine breakdowns and develop long-term engineering solutions.
  • Identify potential issues with existing equipment and implement effective solutions.

The Person

  • Multi-skilled with an electrical bias.
  • Experience within FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environments.
  • Knowledge of operational standards to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Preferred: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Electrical/Mechanical qualifications (ONC/HNC or equivalent).
  • Preferred: HACCP, Food Safety, and Hygiene certifications.
