Winsearch UK are searching for the best Multi Skilled Engineers in the business to oversee, develop and scale our clients engineering function to deliver more growth, reliability and efficiencies in our clients fast paced production department. You will already have a minimum of 4 years Engineering experience of FMCG production lines with a hunger and drive to work in one of the fastest growing manufacturers in the UK.

As Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer you will work closely with the Production and Technical Departments to ensure our clients procedures, processes and systems are best in class to deliver an engineering department to be proud of.  You will ensure the smooth running and of key production equipment delivering optimum plant reliability through preventative maintenance and electrical testing, including fault finding and problem solving. Reacting quickly and efficiently to breakdowns to minimise any downtime in production.

The Candidate

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in drinks/bottling/canning environment.
Excellent Communication skills
Track record of outstanding leadership
Knowledge and application of continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong understanding of process controls
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing process
Flexible and able to act fast to changing plans.
Constantly seeks to improve and streamline process.

Responsibilities

Maximising the efficiencies of the production line (s)
Minimising any stops in production
Detailed PPM schedule on all elements of production equipment delivered within timeframes.
Reactive maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime with documented system of Route Cause Analysis and supporting data for any issues / breaks in production or quality.
Explore Continuous Improvement on all elements of production including efficiencies and quality of finished product.
Supporting the Production team in maintaining the most efficient processes across each shift.
Coaching and supporting the Production teams to develop their technical skills and understanding of the key components and processes across both existing and new production equipment and practices. Support the Training plan where required to train and monitor best practise in production.
Exploring additional training opportunities to further improve efficiencies of the Production department.
Key support to delivering and maintaining ‘audit standards’ throughout the site at all times.
Support Site Manager and Site Technical Director Technical Director in audit requirements and ensure corrective actions are closed off within required timeframes.
Implement processes and practises to report and minimise waste across the site.
Maintaining training requirements for all elements of the role
Setting highest standard for policy and process compliance.
Act as a role model and ensure you always understand and comply with Health and Safety and Environmental requirements; report any near misses, incidents or accidents and promote a safe culture. Always ensure full compliance with PPE requirements.
Ultimately minimise any overall downtime to maximise output in line with our standards.
Ensure that the engineering and maintenance plans are created and implemented.
Support the Site Co-ordinator in Creating SOPs for all aspects of the Engineering Department
Support in the management of H&S and Fire Safety across the site
