Market Intelligence Manager – Pharma (European Markets)

Hybrid - London | Competitive Package | Global Pharma Environment

We’re supporting a global pharmaceutical company as they look to appoint a Market Intelligence Manager into their European commercial team. This is a key role at the intersection of data, strategy, and market insight — supporting smarter decision-making across product planning, marketing, and business development.

It would suit someone with a strong analytical background in pharma market intelligence who enjoys influencing strategy through evidence-based insights.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conducting detailed market research and analysis to assess pharmaceutical industry trends, competitor activity, customer behaviour, and policy developments across key European markets
  • Developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel to deliver insights in a user-friendly format to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Monitoring regulatory, pricing, and reimbursement changes — analysing their commercial impact and informing strategic responses across the business
  • Generating competitor intelligence through tracking of clinical trials, pricing strategies, product launches, and promotional activity
  • Collaborating with regional sales, marketing, regulatory, medical, and product development teams to ensure market insights are embedded into commercial and tactical planning
  • Supporting demand forecasting and sales planning through advanced data modelling and predictive analytics
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including global MI colleagues and third-party research partners, to ensure alignment and access to the latest insights
  • Continuously reviewing and improving tools, processes, and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of market intelligence delivery
  • Helping shape strategic decision-making at regional and global levels through clear communication of trends, risks, and opportunities

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5–7 years experience in market intelligence, strategic analysis, or analytics within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sector
  • Strong understanding of European healthcare systems, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
  • Advanced skills in Power BI and Excel; familiarity with Tableau is beneficial
  • Experience working with CRM and customer engagement platforms (e.g. Veeva, Salesforce, OCE) and associated data
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python, R, VBA, SAS) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical mindset and excellent organisational skills
  • Clear communicator – able to present complex findings in a concise and commercially relevant manner

Why This Role?

This is a critical insights role within a forward-looking commercial function — ideal for someone who enjoys working with data to shape business direction. You’ll have real influence, strong exposure across business functions, and the opportunity to help steer strategy across a dynamic regional market.
