We are currently recruiting to fill the role of Manufacturing Supervisor - Assembly in Sutton, MA

1st Shift

The Manufacturing Supervisor will report into the Head of Manufacturing and be responsible for managing a diverse and talented manufacturing team. The primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve the production plan with conforming parts in a safe manner. The Manufacturing Supervisor also is responsible for directing, training, coaching, disciplining and assisting the assembly department in a factory setting.

Duties And Responsibilities

Drives achieving manufacturing and company goals by scheduling and assigning personnel to support the production plan, communicating expectations, monitoring progress, resolving problems and evaluating / reporting job results.
Enforces company policies and guidelines including safety policies and procedures
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, coaching and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
Collaborate with Factory Planning Department on staffing levels / needs / changes
Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
Coaches employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
Support Maintenance during planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure the proper condition of production equipment
Maintain areas of responsibility in a safe, clean and orderly fashion
Model and promote Safety as a value
Model and promote Teamwork and Collaboration
Constantly evaluate each station of the manufacturing process to ensure maximum efficiency and work with the other departments as need to improve
Maintain open lines of communication between employees, management and executives
Ensure all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly
Conduct Gemba walks and sped a majority of the day on the shop floor
Manage time keeping and data collection records
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of organizational workflow and ability to delegate by assigning responsibilities and formulating schedules
Ability to set daily/weekly/monthly goals, communicating them effectively to employees
Proven supervisory skills needed to oversee employees and coach them effectively preferred
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including ability to spot issues in efficiency/productivity and suggest improvements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Sharp production focus with a drive for accurate results
Flexible to work long hours as required to meet project deadlines
Ability to generate and submit reports on performance and progress
4+ years’ manufacturing plant experience
Ability to stand for long periods of time and carry loads of 40 lbs as necessary
