Circa £38,000 - £42,000 + benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a biomass power station near Lochgelly, Scotland. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the planning and execution of maintenance work across the site (dependant on discipline) to ensure minimum downtime.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, as the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

Fault finding, repair work and planned & reactive maintenance on a wide range of plant equipment
Assisting with outage planning and coordination
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CMMS
Providing technical support to the operations team when required
Working alongside other Technicians and Engineers with regards to plant projects and upgrades
Managing contractors when required
Provide out of hours support when necessary
This role will be working 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday roughly between the hours of 7-30am – 4pm.

To be considered for this role you should have:

A relevant engineering qualification at NVQ/ONC/ level 3 ideally in mechanical/electrical engineering or similar
At least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience working in a hands-on maintenance or servicing roles across a heavy process industries e.g. power station, chemical plant, paper mill, pharmaceutical or manufacturing site
Experience carrying out maintenance and repair work on either mechanical or electrical equipment dependent on your discipline
Ideally experience managing and directing contractors
Experience using a CMMS (computerise maintenance management system)
Salary & Benefits

This role comes with a basic salary up to circa £45,000 depending on experience
