Job Title: Maintenance Responsible

Location: Grays, Essex Area

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
Schedule: 2 days (6 AM - 6 PM) + 2 nights (6 PM - 6 AM)

Operating internationally and vertically integrated, we manage every step from raw materials to finished product delivery. Our mission is to deliver efficiency, sustainability, and quality throughout our processes.

We are currently looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Responsible to join our team at our pallet site in Grays, Essex.

Your Role

As Maintenance Responsible, you will oversee all maintenance activities on-site to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will play a key role in planning, managing, and optimizing both preventive and corrective maintenance processes, while leading and developing a team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and develop maintenance and repair schedules.
Plan and oversee curative, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
Lead, supervise, and train the maintenance team and subcontractors.
Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance on-site.
Optimize machines and production processes.
Manage spare parts inventory and procurement in collaboration with the Procurement team.
Monitor technical investments (machines/buildings) and analyze quotations.
Handle administrative tasks related to technical documentation and reporting.
Collaborate with management to drive continuous improvements in efficiency, safety, and quality.
Report directly to the Plant Manager.

What We’re Looking For

Technical degree or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance leadership role.
Broad technical knowledge with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
Safety and quality focused with a proactive approach.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
