Logistics Planner


Essential Pharma are looking for a Logistics Planner to join us. The Logistics Planner is responsible for coordinating all of the group’s logistics requirements with external partners to deliver a compliant, cost effective and efficient delivery process from CMOs to warehouses and DCs and onward to further customer or supplier sites. What You Will Do


  • Organise and book shipments from CMOs to different warehouses and distributors.
  • Interact with logistic providers and track shipments
  • Perform inbound and outbound SAP by Design transactions, including Intercompany transfers.
  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance
  • Collect and crosscheck that all Quality documents allow for Goods Receipt and post Good Receipts in SAP for purchased items (batch number, expiry date and manufacturing date)
  • Overseeing Sample shipments to Quality
  • Follow up on final release of the Essential Pharma medicines
  • Execute Sales Orders and ensure timely execution in SAP
  • Investigation of temperature deviation reports
  • Investigation and reporting of internal complaints
  • Maintain professional relationships with freight forwarders
  • Maintain tracking log of all shipments and perform analytics
  • Optimising loads and collections to achieve our target logistics cost % of COGS
  • Creation of ‘Customer Cards’ detailing specifics of shipping/contacts/documentation

Essential Pharma is an international specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to maintaining access to clinically differentiated, niche medicines in small patient populations. Our high-impact portfolio includes over 300 medicines covering ten therapeutic areas, with a focus on the central nervous system (CNS), gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and rare diseases. Our products treat patients in more than 70 countries.


We are proactive in identifying low volume, difficult-to-manufacture therapeutic products, and late-stage clinical development assets that target rare diseases. Our recent acquisition of Renaissance Pharmaceuticals is a significant milestone for Essential Pharma, the groups second product for treatment of a rare disease, and the first development-stage asset in our portfolio.

In December 2024, Essential Pharma announced a €900 million recapitalisation with partners Gyrus Capital, welcoming AlpInvest and new strategic financing from Sixth Street.

Our business is comprised of around 70 people based out of our offices in Surrey UK, Malta, France, Spain and Switzerland.

Qualifications

  • We take a flexible approach to qualifications and instead focus on individuals who can demonstrate strong logistics planning experience.
  • Strong MS office skills


Experience

  • Significant in a Logistic function, preferably with exposure to pharmaceuticals
  • Knowledge of customs procedures.
  • Experience of working in ERP/WMS to manage inventory.
  • Evidence of effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • GDP and GMP proficiency.
  • Knowledge of incoterms
