📍 Location: Colnbrook, Slough, Berkshire, SL3 0HE
🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time (4 on, 4 off)

Are you an experienced forklift driver with a passion for logistics and high standards of safety and compliance? Do you want to work with a global leader in freight forwarding? Our client is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join their busy and diverse team.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will support the daily distribution operations in our clients high-paced air, ocean, road, perishables, and healthcare freight warehouse. You’ll report directly to the Warehouse Manager and Team Leader, playing a crucial role in ensuring services meet strict regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Handle shipments within a customs bonded, high-security regulated facility
Prepare and load export shipments (including building ULDs)
Break down and check in import shipments
Operate electric counterbalance, diesel counterbalance, and electric reach forklift trucks
Ensure GDP compliance for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical goods
Perform daily temperature monitoring, quality checks, and H&S duties
Adhere to aviation security and Department for Transport regulations

What We're Looking For

✅ Experience & Certifications:

Valid Reach and Counterbalance FLT licenses
Aviation Security Level CO (or willingness to obtain)
Minimum 5 years verifiable work history 
X-Ray & ETD experience desirable (training available)
Minimum 1+ years experience as a Warehouse Operative
Minimum 6 months experience on Forklifts
✅ Skills & Knowledge:

Experience in import/export airfreight operations is desirable
Familiarity with HMRC brokerage systems and WMS
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and customer interaction skills
Ability to work within ISO 9001:2008 / TAPA / CAA guidelines
