Mechanical Site Supervisor –Projects & Maintenance

Our client, a leading player with a growing presence across domestic and European markets, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join their team on a long-term basis. This is a permanent position offering excellent career progression in a company that values commitment and invests in its people.

With ambitious plans to double sales this year, they are expanding their dedicated team to meet growing demand across an impressive portfolio of clients. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with proven site leadership experience in delivering technically demanding mechanical maintenance and project work.

Key Responsibilities:



Supervise on-site mechanical installations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with drawings and technical specifications.

*

Lead and coordinate site operatives to deliver work on time and to required quality standards.

*

Promote and enforce strong health & safety practices, including adherence to method statements and risk assessments.

*

Liaise with subcontractors, trades, logistics, and internal teams to manage workflows and resolve issues.

*

Maintain accurate site records, daily logs, and reporting on productivity and project status.

*

Attend client meetings and provide regular progress updates.

*

Interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and isometrics to guide on-site activities and troubleshoot technical issues.

*

Ensure all work is completed to handover standard with a strong focus on quality and workmanship.

*

Support and mentor trade teams to build site capabilities and drive performance.

Candidate Profile:

*

Qualified Senior Tradesperson (Pipefitter/Mechanical Craftsperson) or equivalent technical background.

*

Minimum 5 years' experience supervising mechanical works on-site, ideally within petrochemical, industrial, oil & gas, or pharmaceutical environments.

*

Strong technical knowledge of process piping, utility systems, and mechanical distribution services.

*

Proven ability to interpret mechanical drawings and manage multiple concurrent work packages.

*

Effective team leader with strong communication and organisational skills.

*

Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to perform under pressure.

*

Fluent in English; European experience or a second language is a plus.
