Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Lead Clinical Physiologist to join our Neurophysiology Team, with a competitive salary range on offer.

This is a full-time role with the following shift patterns:

4 long days across Monday-Friday 0800-1800

or 5 standard days Monday-Friday 0900-1700

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Divisional Institute Manager for Neurosciences , Lead Clinical Physiologist will provide innovative clinical and managerial leadership which inspires, motivates and empowers physiologists in the delivery of excellent patient experience. The post holder will be responsible for the operational and non-medical clinical management of the neurophysiology service across all CCL facilities. This role will focus on delivering a high quality, robust and responsive service to all neurophysiology patients alongside consultants and all members of the multidisciplinary team, including a wide range of neurophysiology investigations including highly specialised procedures on inpatients and outpatients from any specialty.

  • Plans, performs and provisionally reports a range of complex and highly complex diagnostic neurophysiological investigations on adult patients from a range of specialties.
  • To manage and provide leadership to the non-medical clinical neurophysiology team.
  • To work with CCLs Neurophysiology Consultants and the Divisional Institute Manager in the strategic development of the service as well as the development and delivery of innovative service improvement projects focussed on improving quality of care and patient outcomes, including the collection and evaluation of capacity, productivity and other relevant data.
  • Managing the Polysomnography service with Sleep Lead.
  • Provide the Divisional Institute Manager with assurance of proactive management of clinical risks, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate or respond to identified risks.
  • Identify clinical research and audit priorities to drive the neurophysiology clinical development strategy.

  • Has experience with independent monitoring in Intra Operative Neurophysiology for spinal, cortical and peripheral surgeries.
  • Experience as Associate Clinical Physiologist or previous experience as a Basic Technologist in Neurophysiology

Qualifications Essential

  • BTEC HNC/D in MPPM / BSc Hons Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent (Required)
  • ECNE part I or equivalent (Required)

Professional Registration Essential

  • If Consultant Scientist level, HCPC registration and AHCS accreditation (required)
