Join a highly motivated group of engineers with deep communications industry expertise. This team works closely with world-class IC designers to develop cutting-edge products for the high-speed data communications sector. The role offers hands-on lab work in a collaborative R&D environment that values technical excellence and precision.
 

Job Summary:

Lab Technician, you’ll support the assembly and maintenance of evaluation boards used for internal validation, customer testing, and trade show demonstrations. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of a dynamic lab environment—including equipment calibration and inventory control.


Responsibilities:

Assemble evaluation boards for validation and customer use, including: Ball and wedge wire bondingSurface-mount soldering and connector installationPick-and-place of silicon die and BGA componentsOptical component alignmentDesign and 3D printing of mechanical components Support calibration and servicing logistics of lab test equipment Maintain and track inventory of lab consumables, components, and PCBs Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and productive R&D lab environment

Minimum Qualifications:

BSc/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Hands-on experience working in a technical or laboratory setting Strong attention to detail and ability to carefully follow build procedures Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Friendly, collaborative attitude with good communication skills


Desired Qualifications:

Experience assembling high-speed optical and electrical PCBs Familiarity with equipment calibration cycles and service processes Experience in labs supporting testing of high-speed semiconductor components Experience managing component and equipment inventories using databases Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook)
