We are currently seeking a proactive and dedicated Lab Technician for our Technical department. The ideal candidate will will be responsible for daily finished product testing of insulation foam and manufacture of Uniblend 8020, offloading bulk chemical raw materials and other raw materials. Involved in continuous improvement, quality and health, safety & welfare. Whist promoting Unilin’s core values of passion, entrepreneurship, excellence and respect.
Permanent role, Monday to Friday, working 8am to 4:30pm.

 • Excellent communication skills
• Good computer knowledge
• Excellent Attention to detail
• FLT license essential, training can be provided 
• Experience in a quality control environment
Key Tasks and Duties:
• Work within the ethos and standards of the company.
• Carry out regular checks and testing as required.
• You are responsible for, preparing and packaging any samples as required.
• Update and maintain all company records.
• Liaise with hauliers/ Raw material planners for booking in raw material deliveries.
• Liaise with hauliers/ Group raw material planners to organise outbound raw material deliveries
• Responsible for carrying out fork lift activities as required by the technical team.
• Responsible for goods inward duties – Bulk Chemicals, IBC’s Facers, side papers.
• Responsible for stock taking of raw materials.
• Provide written reports as required to the technical department. 
• Responsible for production of Uniblend 8020 material on site.
• Responsible for testing and ensuring Uniblend 8020 meets required specifications.
• Able to take chemical samples and conduct basic analysis
• Assisting the Technical Department in carrying out any trial work as required.
• Assist in the carrying out of Safety, Environmental and Quality inspections. 
• Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management.
• Flexible hours to suit the needs of the business.
