Device Testing Consultant

One of the market leading speciality chemical distributors to the personal care, pharmaceutical and chemicals industries is currently hiring for a junior R&D Chemist.
The successful applicant will most likely be a recent cosmetic science or chemistry graduate or certainly a life science graduate, and will be looking for their first or next role in industry.
Key responsibilities:

  • Using the company principal raw materials to develop on trend demonstration formulations
  • Explore synergistic benefits of principal raw materials
  • Develop bespoke formulations for their substantial client base, whilst answering technical questions and solving problems
  • Creating promotional and sales tools to promote services and materials hand in hand with the sales and marketing teams
  • Presenting to customers, both within technical meetings and during events and promotional shows
  • Occasional travel within the UK, Ireland and Europe
  • Attend UK and global conferences
  • Track industry trends and conduct market research
    Skills, experience and qualifications:
  • Life science graduate, ideally within cosmetic science or chemistry
  • Good grasp of R&D / Formulation chemistry within personal care and cosmetic products
  • MUST have own vehicle due to elements of travel within the role
