The Informatics group are looking for qualifiedinterns in the penultimate year of their study to support our teamin our London office starting Summer 2025. This is a 12-monthUniversity Placement opportunity. The informatics team utilizesinformatics principles and techniques to architect, mine, analyse,and visualize clinical trial data to inform study design choicesfor pharmaceutical development. This internship will provideintensive informatics experience in query-based programming, datainterpretation, and visualization creation. The Informatics team isa highly collaborative team with members in both the London andCincinnati offices, which provides interns the opportunity to workdirectly with international employees. The informatics’ internshiphas a formal intensive onboarding process followed by a mentoredpath to independence for students. Daily activities includewhiteboarding sessions, group-think meetings with the global team,independent data exploration, and programming for custom dataqueries and structures. Students have weekly meetings with theirsupervisor, whom they interact with daily. They also receive thesupport of analysts on the team for various projects, as needed.This team emphasizes an open learning environment for students andemployees to learn from each other and accomplish innovativeprojects. Students will become proficient-to-advanced in R andproficient in SQL during this experience. Students will also havethe opportunity to work with software and systems includingPowerBI, Excel and Snowflake. Responsibilities - Customization ofprogramming scripts for data management - Creation of standardizedoperational procedure documents - Contribution to design anddelivery of data visualizations - Collation of data for proposalsupport requests Qualifications - Must be pursuing a bachelor’s ormaster’s degree in computer science/engineering, biomedicalengineering, health information, statistics, bioinformatics, orrelated field - Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Excellent analytical skills - Experience programming with R, orother computer language - Introductory Microsoft Excel skills Wekindly request that you attach a cover letter to support yourapplication.
