An experienced Sales Engineer with experience in either process instrumentation or valves is sought by a successful equipment manufacturer to drive forward sales across Scotland.

Working with clients within various process industries you will be responsible for generating new leads, developing relationships with existing customers, and identifying new market opportunities for the company's range of specialist valves, instrumentation and related fittings etc. You will also prepare proposals, assess client specifications and recommend the appropriate products to fulfil their needs. Your key responsibilities will include: -

Managing the sales process from initial contact to order placement, including quoting, negotiating, and closing deals.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Maintaining a strong understanding of the company's product portfolio, including valves, instrumentation, and related services.The ideal candidate will be an experienced Sales / Business Development professional with a good background in selling valves or instrumentation to the process sector (Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Pharmaceutical, Paper, Minerals, Food & Beverage etc) and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the industry. An Engineering background or qualification in mechanical or instrumentation engineering would be an advantage but isn't essential. Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills are essential are an absolute must as is the ability to understand client specifications, being able to interpret technical drawings and blueprints would be a strong advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to excel within an established and growing medium sized engineering company. Salary of up to £70K depending on experience and qualifications and a generous commission scheme are available
