Clinigen is a rapidly growing global specialty pharmaceutical services business with a unique combination of services across the pharmaceutical lifecycle. We currently have over 1,000 employees headquartered in the UK with global offices in the US, EU (Belgium, Germany, France), Asia Pacific and South Africa.

The Role:
To support our growth, we are seeking a process driven, proactive and analytical minded Finance Business Partner who will report into our Director of FP&A. You will operate as a key member of Clinigen’s Group finance function and drive process change and business transformation whilst having access to the leadership team up to C-Suite.

You will play a pivotal role in partnering with circa eight central core functions primarily logistics and supply chain, looking after warehouse operations, our newly launched European Distribution Centre and third-party logistics arrangements.

Please note if you are currently a part-qualified accountant, we will offer financial support to complete your qualification.

You will be working within a close-knit team of five based onsite our Burton-On-Trent office two days per week (typically Tuesday and Thursday).

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will take individual responsibility for delivering world class customer service to internal and external stakeholders to increase the value of the business by continually driving enhanced visibility of costs through improved management reporting that leads to substantial efficiencies through a focus on non-drug procurement activities.
  • Partner with the heads of each of the central functions to present back monthly financial results, understand variances to budget, and update forecasts for the financial year.
  • Work with the heads of central functions to finalise budget and reforecast spend plans, challenging them to ensure that costs are well controlled and efficiency opportunities are highlighted.
  • Drive continuous improve in financial reporting to ensure we are preparing high quality and insightful financial information to support key decision making.
  • Review monthly spend, providing variance analysis on spend and ensuring financial control is maintained through sufficient monthly reviews and discussion with Group accounting to ensure costs are allocated to the right department & cost lines.
  • Take financial ownership to review all business investment cases in the functions supported, ensuring any financial values committed are robust and accurate. These investments also require post investment appraisal to track progress and performance retrospectively to Report back
  • Work on ad hoc projects and requests from finance leadership and the business.
  • Support the Group’s transformation workstreams and enhance the level of Commercial Finance support provided to the Function leaders with increased value add activities.
  • Provide support to senior leadership across the business, the finance leadership team and peers within the finance group.
  • Part qualified/qualifying chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • MusthaveworkedwithintheLogisticsand/orSupplyChainsector.
  • 2-3yearspreviousexperienceinabusinesspartneringrolewithacostfocus.
  • Excellentcommercialandbusinesssense.
