Our client, specialist suppliers of bespoke HVAC equipment, their highly skilled, quality trained workforce adopts stainless steel 316L high class welding assembly and Siemens PCL control electrical and electronic interfacing to create the highest standard of equipment.

Our client is a specialist in the design and manufacture of high integrity heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment for offshore oil and gas, nuclear, marine, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, process and energy sectors.

They place a high priority on its skilled workforce and the fact that they have generations of skilled craftsmen working for them speaks volumes about the value they place on people. With an eye to the future, they are currently recruiting across the business to begin training the next generation of experts.

Duties

  • Operating welding equipment to join metal components
  • Read blueprints and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
  • Fabricating and repairing metal components and structures
  • Inspecting finished welds to determine structural soundness
  • Using a variety of welding techniques, including tungsten inert gas (TIG) and metal inert gas (MIG) welding
  • Using hand tools and grinding equipment to prepare material for welding
  • Carrying out routine maintenance on welding equipment

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of welding techniques
  • Ability to operate welding and fabricating machinery
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret measuring devices
