Key Responsibilities


  • Create, direct and executeEUG logistics strategiesthat will improve supply chain speed to market, delivery reliability, support company growth, and support new or existing strategic direction. Deliver value to the customer base and shareholders through improved quality levels, cost optimization and savings, and effective leadership.
  • Develop an operations plan aligned with EUG Country Business Partners, ensuring the plan is balanced in terms of satisfying customers today while positioning the operations network for the future.
  • Deliver the expected results, implement a performance management system for carriers and3PL providers (DE/UK/FR/IT/SP/New markets)which creates stakeholder accountability.
  • Prepare, manage and control cost center budgets in collaboration with the Finance teams.
  • Manage warehousing activities
  • Review and develop systems strategies to support productivity, shipment visibility, stock accuracy, flexibility within the Supply Chain and support cross functional activities to implement Standard Practices as defined by Global Strategic Objectives.
  • Oversee EUG distribution points,
  • Support with all contract negotiations with multi-modal domestic logistics service providers, including small parcel and direct to consumer services, or control via audit and directing 3PL providers to meet and execute growth strategies.
  • Member of the EUG SCM Leadership team


Key Qualifications

  • University or Master’s degree, similarly professionally recognized qualification, or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, International trade, Logistics, Export.
  • At least 10 years’ experience at Senior Manager /Leader level in Supply Chain / Logistics /Export.
  • Experience with 3PLs in United Kingdom and Germany is required, whereas experience with Netherlands, Italy, France and Spain will be a significative plus
  • Proven and demonstrable success in leading a Supply Chain /Logistics operation including people leadership skills and experience.
  • Clear understanding of 3PL management, overseeing distribution footprint and network strategies.
  • Direct experience working in the Cold Chain is essential, ideally coming from a Pharmaceutical or similar scientifical/chemical industry.
  • Exposure to GxP and Lean principles highly valuable.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, S4H, or Oracle.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain End to End principle, Demand Planning, Inventory management, S&OP a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to build excellent relationships across different functions; able to influence across cultures and countries.
