Job Title: Estimator – Industrial Flooring & Resin Systems

📍 Location: Essex, Brentwood
🕒 Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
💷 Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
🎯 Experience Required: Minimum 3 years' estimating experience in industrial flooring/resin/polished concrete

About the Role:

We are looking for a commercially minded Estimator with proven experience in resin flooring, PU screeds, MMA, decorative concrete, or polished concrete systems. The successful candidate will play a key part in the estimation and tendering process for a variety of commercial and industrial projects across London, the South East, and the M25 region.

You’ll be joining a specialist contractor with a strong reputation in delivering resin coatings, concrete finishes, and surface prep solutions across sectors such as warehousing, data centres, food processing, car parks, and pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:



Interpret project drawings, specifications, and site information to prepare accurate take-offs

Produce detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for resin, screed, polished concrete, or floor prep packages

*

Prepare and submit competitive tenders, pricing schedules, and technical submissions

*

Liaise with clients, main contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment on specifications and costs

*

Handle multiple tender submissions across concurrent deadlines

*

Assess and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations

*

Assist with post-tender clarifications, handovers, and cost control during project execution

*

Collaborate with Contracts Managers, QSs, and the delivery team on project planning

*

Maintain accurate and well-presented tender files and CRM records

Essential Skills & Experience:

*

Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating within the flooring, resin or polished concrete industry

*

Familiarity with specialist systems including PU screeds, MMA, epoxy, polished concrete, decorative flooring, or surface prep techniques

*

Excellent understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and site measurements

*

Strong commercial awareness and numeracy skills

*

Confident communicator – capable of liaising professionally with suppliers and clients

*

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); Bluebeam or estimating software experience is a plus

*

Ability to manage multiple tenders with strong attention to detail
