As our Teacher of Chemistry, joining us in September 2025, with a significant leadership role in A-Level Chemistry, you will:

  • Lead and Inspire: Take a lead role in the delivery and development of the Chemistry curriculum across all key stages, inspiring high-achieving students, particularly at Key Stage 5, to reach their full academic potential and fostering a school-wide appreciation for scientific inquiry and understanding.

  • Shape Curriculum Innovation: Have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of our Chemistry curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, the use of technology and simulations, and exploring contemporary chemical research relevant to the experiences within the Hackney community and the wider world, with a focus on the demands of A-Level.

  • Mentor and Guide: Act as a role model and mentor for students with a passion for Chemistry, fostering their aspirations for further study and careers in chemistry, biochemistry, and related STEM fields, particularly guiding our A-Level students towards university success.

  • Collaborate with a Dedicated Science Team: Work alongside a team of experienced and passionate Science specialists, sharing best practices and contributing to the overall success of the department, with a key focus on the delivery of an outstanding A-Level Chemistry program and engaging practical investigations.
