The Opportunity:

Step into the role of a Field Service Engineer (FSE) with Unity Lab Services, where service excellence meets technical expertise! This position involves delivering installations, repairs, maintenance, and technical support for Molecular and Chromatography instrumentation, including FTIR, NIR, UV-Vis, HPLC, Sample Preparation, and Discreet Industrial Analysers. Primarily supporting customers in Scotland, the Borders, and the Northeast UK, this role also includes occasional travel throughout the UK and Ireland.

What We Do Together:

Strive for outstanding customer service, achieving high first-time fix rates, low mean time to repair, and low repeat call rates.
Implement field service duties following internal, customer, and health and safety guidelines.
Provide robust support for UV-Vis/FTIR/Molecular, Chromatography, Sample Preparation, and DIA instruments.
Resolve technical issues swiftly and ethically, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Apply web-based tools to offer innovative products and services, empowering customer success.
Coordinate with dispatch, team leaders, and managers for optimized work schedules.
Run essential company assets, including parts inventory, laptop, mobile phone, test equipment, tools, software, and company car.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of field service and expense reports.

Your Background:

Solid base in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related fields.
Having at least 1 year of experience in servicing analytical equipment or have end user or applications support experience in a related field would be an advantage and possessing specific knowledge of UV-Vis/FTIR/Molecular instrumentation, Liquid Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Sample Preparation, or high throughput testing is a plus.
Be a self-motivated individual with outstanding interpersonal, problem-solving and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in PC use and have the ability work with our industry leading software applications.
Valid UK Driving Licence.
Able to travel within your territory, Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays.
Excellent written and verbal English skills are required with the ability to work across all levels, functions, and regions.
