About the Company

We are a growing health-tech company working on pioneering solutions for early-stage disease detection. Our proprietary non-invasive sensor technology is designed to identify internal anomalies without the use of harmful radiation. The primary goal is to revolutionize how diseases such as cancer are detected, with a particular focus on making screening safer, more accessible, and more affordable for all populations. With scalability and global impact as central goals, our innovations are targeted at transforming diagnostic pathways in both high- and low-resource settings.

Role Overview

This leadership role sits at the core of our hardware development efforts. You will be responsible for managing and advancing our electronic systems, guiding a small team of hardware, electronics, and test engineers. In addition to overseeing internal hardware evolution and testing, you’ll collaborate across teams on product development and regulatory alignment, with a focus on integrating hardware with algorithmic systems.

The position calls for someone who can both quickly grasp existing systems and drive longer-term vision and innovation. A strong understanding of signal processing and system integration is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the electronics and hardware team, ensuring timely delivery of technical milestones
  • Own and develop internal testing strategies and procedures for hardware systems
  • Propose and steer future hardware development initiatives in line with product goals
  • Collaborate with external manufacturers to ensure compliance with technical specifications
  • Define and manage project timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Work closely with software and algorithm teams to support integrated system performance

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)
  • Master’s degree with at least 3 years of industry experience OR 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience designing low-noise electronics systems
  • Knowledge of working within quality management frameworks
  • Experience with risk assessment and FMEA processes

Preferred Experience

  • Systems involving electromagnetic sensing (e.g., impedance, capacitance, ECG, EEG, etc.)
  • FPGA development experience
  • Familiarity with VHDL
  • Medical device development background
  • Proficiency in using Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Strong technical documentation skills

Benefits

  • Share option scheme
  • Private medical and dental insurance
  • 5% employer pension contribution
  • Life and health coverage
  • Complimentary office lunch
  • Flexible working policy (subject to business needs)
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Performance-based bonus scheme
  • Professional development opportunities (workshops, training, etc., aligned with business objectives)

Team Culture

You’ll be joining a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and clinicians who value open collaboration, critical thinking, and fast-paced development. We welcome innovative ideas and encourage proactive engagement in shaping the company’s future. If you're excited by the idea of working on meaningful, cutting-edge technology that can improve lives, we’d love to hear from you.
