Electrical Project Manager Opportunity - Major Data Centre Project - Tier 1 M&E Contractor

MK Search are currently working with a £500m turnover M&E contractor with a solid reputation in the data centre, commercial, life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors who are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Project Manager for one of their prestigious data centre projects in Hertfordshire.

The project is the biggest data centre in the UK so far with an expected duration of 3 years. You will be managing a portion of the electrical package on the project, reporting into the Project Drectors and managing subbies, direct electrical staff including engineers and construction managers while liaising with the CSA teams.

Responsiblities:

  • Planning and defining the scope of the prestigious data centre, including estimating costs and timeframes.

  • Developing detailed project plans and schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.

  • Coordinating with electricians, engineers, and other professionals involved in the project.

  • Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

  • Ensuring all electrical work is completed according to safety standards and building regulations.

  • Preparing and presenting project progress reports to stakeholders.

  • Identifying potential risks and issues in the project, and devising contingency plans.

  • Communicating with clients to understand their requirements and address their concerns.

  • Monitoring project budget and ensuring efficient use of resources.

  • Ordering equipment and materials needed for the project.

  • Completing project documentation for record-keeping and future reference.
