Electrical Engineer – Power Generation

Up to £64,000 (DOE) + company benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join an Energy from Waste Power Station in the Worcestershire area.  You will be responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance department, delivering a range of reactive & planned maintenance associated with the sites electrical systems to ensure safe & continuous operations across the EfW facility.

As the Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:

Leading and supporting the electrical maintenance department, overseeing junior members of the team and assisting with training and development
The implementation of the maintenance strategy to ensure site runs efficiently
Planned and reactive maintenance on electrical equipment
Supporting on new project works
Managing and planning plant outages
Third-party contractor supervision
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:

Proven experience in a relevant electrical maintenance or engineering role in the power or heavy process sectors, including power stations, chemical plants, cement works, pharmaceutical or refineries
A qualification at HND/HNC level in electrical engineering or similar
Extensive practical experience with maintenance/engineering work on a variety of electrical plant such as switchgear, motors, generators, transformers.
Experience with HV plant would also be ideal
Experience with leading a team / mentoring junior team members is advantageous but not essential
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading power generation business with a salary of up to circa £64,000 plus other benefits.
