Join a family-owned company located in West Bromwich in the West Midlands. They are specialists in organo-sulphur synthesis and high-pressure hydrogenation supplying organic chemistry services to a global market in quantities from grams to multi-tonnes. They manufacture intermediates for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others and their team of chemists are experts in custom synthesis, contract manufacture and process optimisation.

They have a vacancy for an Electrical Engineer and are looking to recruit for an immediate start. This position reports to the Electrical and Instrumentation Manager.

  • Salary is dependent on experience plus

  • 25 days paid holiday (and all UK Bank Holidays),

  • 40-hour working week (Mon to Fri, 8am to 4.30pm),

    My client is looking for someone who has the following:

  • A minimum of a HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

  • A further 5 years of practical experience, post HNC, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, in an industrial manufacturing environment.

    You will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Maintenance operations – responsible for the provision, operation and development of all maintenance and planned preventative maintenance systems, including inspections.

  • Responsible for the organisation and operation of the electrical team (four personnel) and any electrical contractors.

  • Project work – responsible for the design, specification, and installation of electrical equipment for new capital, maintenance and upgrading work and controlling expenditure within authorised budgets
