Electrical Commissioning Manager – Newport – Data Centres
We are currently partnering with a leading Contractor who are active across the UK and Europe. Demonstrating success in an array of sectors including but not limited to, Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Energy and many more. Due to continued success, they are looking to further strengthen their team with an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager in Newport.
Responsibilities

  • Oversee Electrical Commissioning Process: Manage and supervise the commissioning of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring all installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, conducting rigorous inspections and testing of electrical systems to verify performance and safety.
  • Coordinate with Contractors and Stakeholders: Work closely with electrical contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure that the electrical commissioning process is well-coordinated and that issues are promptly addressed.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of any issues during the commissioning phase, ensuring minimal delays to the project timeline and preventing future operational disruptions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of commissioning activities, test results, and any adjustments made. Prepare comprehensive reports for management, regulatory bodies, and clients.
  • Training and Handover: Provide training to the operational team on the functionality and maintenance of commissioned electrical systems. Ensure a smooth handover of fully operational systems to the client or facility management team.
    Requirements
  • 3+ Experience Commissioning Electrical Packages on Data Centre builds or similar Large Construction projects preferred
  • Electrical Degree or Equivalent Trades Background Required
  • Must be based in or within a commutable distance of Newport
    Benefits
    £80,000 - £100,000 + Benefits
