Electrical Project Engineer Opportunity - Pharmaceutical Project - Kings Cross

MK Search are working closely with a world leading M&E contractor who have a big presence in the data centre, pharmaceutical and commercial sectors who are looking to engage with an experienced Electrical Project Engineer for a flagship pharmaceutical project in Kings Cross.

You will initially be tasked with assisting the electrical project managers and senior management with the delivery of a £30m MEP pharmaceutical project but will then be given the opportunity to progress throughout the business on any of their exciting upcoming projects in London and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering colleagues to ensure successful delivery of project goals — on time, on budget, and aligned with technical requirements.

  • Support the definition and development of project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates for electrical workstreams.

  • Create and update accurate electrical schematics and layout drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.

  • Establish and maintain work breakdown structures for electrical tasks to ensure project clarity and accountability.

  • Develop detailed electrical budgets, track costs throughout the project lifecycle, and flag any deviations.

  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and third-party vendors involved in electrical installations and commissioning.

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams — including production, engineering, and operations — to ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements.

  • Communicate project updates clearly and consistently to all stakeholders, escalating risks or delays as needed.

  • Champion safe working practices by ensuring all work is covered by the appropriate risk assessments, permits, and safety documentation.

  • Provide backup project leadership in the absence of the Project Manager.

  • Ensure all electrical project work aligns with site-wide environmental, health and safety, and quality management systems.
