Role Summary

As a Director within the Epidemiology/HEOR vertical on our Client Services scientific team, you will report to a Senior Director in the Real World Evidence business unit. You will provide scientific leadership for observational research studies and data solutions, involving scoping, budgeting, and executing projects aimed at understanding patient journeys and treatment outcomes in oncology, including multimodal clinicogenomics data. This is a client-facing role with interactions with study leads to design, propose, and implement projects. You may supervise a team of scientists and contribute to the company's product portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute feasibility assessments, develop scopes of work, budgets, and timelines.
  • Draft and review study proposals for research design and analysis.
  • Lead client accounts, providing strategic guidance and resource allocation.
  • Provide scientific leadership, oversee research projects, and direct methodological approaches.
  • Review analyses, assess statistical validity, and ensure quality of deliverables.
  • Develop abstracts, posters, and manuscripts for scientific dissemination.
  • Engage with internal teams and clients regarding research activities.
  • Assist in hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating staff.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, data security, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in additional projects and internal initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Doctoral degree with at least 4 years of research experience or Master’s degree with 7 years in Economics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of research processes, data management, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with healthcare research methodologies and big healthcare data.
  • Leadership in project planning, analysis, and execution.
  • Client relationship management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Thought leadership in oncology or real-world evidence.
  • Proficiency with productivity software and statistical programming languages (SAS, R, Python, etc.).

Additional Qualifications

  • Research experience in oncology, especially related to specific tumor types or hematological malignancies.
  • Knowledge of biomarkers, FDA regulatory requirements, GCP, and ICH guidelines.
  • Experience in supervisory roles involving staff development.
