Job Summary:

Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Director, Medical Strategy – Oncology – to join our growing team!

Our Senior Directors are fundamental for directing programmes across the Real Chemistry ‘One Medical’ business. This position is perfect for a visionary leader who can use their extensive team leadership experience, therapy area and scientific expertise, and strong strategic thinking skills to define cutting-edge strategies and ensure excellence in all deliverables across the Medical team. Senior Directors thrive in shaping the future of the business and fostering a dynamic, supportive, and innovative environment. Our Senior Directors have the opportunity to specialise in content development, team leadership, team development, and/or strategic thinking. The current role is focused on Medical Strategy – Oncology, specifically for work in breast cancer.

What you’ll do:

  • Therapy area and scientific expertise: Direct internal programmes related to therapy area and scientific expertise across the global ‘One Medical’ team
  • Strategic thinking: Define strategy on new and complex business proposals in collaboration with senior team members
  • Client relationships: Proactively act as trusted advisor for clients and internal teams across Real Chemistry
  • Managing and advising:
  • Lead, shape and direct medical teams to deliver a range of assets whilst fostering an environment of intellectual curiosity
  • Ensure that processes and team structures result in the highest quality of deliverables
  • Artificial intelligence (AI): Identify opportunities for AI interventions and direct internal programmes related to AI implementation across the global One Medical team
  • Business development: Drive business development activities aligned with Real Chemistry growth strategy and targets via identification of new clients and working with existing clients by leveraging expertise and networking
  • Strategic leadership:
  • Advance internal and industry best practices, develop and publish related thought leadership content that has a meaningful impact on Real Chemistry’s brand and business development
  • Provide strategic counsel and support strategic decision-making by acting as a strategic partner and advisor to key senior clients
  • Leadership in all aspects of the strategy process, from research and analysis to insight and creative brief development
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives for projects in collaboration with internal teams and client partners
  • Critical thinking:
  • Understand industry dynamics from a Medical Affairs perspective and shape into Real Chemistry services and offerings
  • Confidently take a lead facilitator role in client meetings/ workshops

What you should have:

  • You should bring previous extensive experience within medical education including roles that involved management of multiple large teams of medical writers and/or strategists
  • Proven record of building strong client relationships and growing business opportunities
  • A profound understanding of healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry is essential
  • A high level of academic achievement is expected
  • You’ll need to be personable, articulate, and capable of nurturing relationships, with a knack for developing and delivering persuasive presentations
